With Mei-Ann Chen there is always a surprise in store. The Principal Guest Director of the recreation orchestra, a Taiwanese living in the USA, this time meets up with the young German-Russian virtuoso pianist Kristina Miller. Having studied in Moscow and with Gerhard Oppitz in Munich, she is made for Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2. An oriental beauty rounds off the evening: Scheherazade.
